Adjustable choke and fixed choke manual point

Adjustable choke and fixed choke is couple used in choke manifold. And compared to gate valve, choke operation is simple. Below content is some important point for manual for chokes.

Adjustable choke
1. Technical Specification
Nominal Bore Size: 3-1/16”
Working pressure: 10,000 psi
Body test pressure: 15,000 psi
Material Class: EE
Temperature Class: PU
Product Specification Level: PSL3
Performance Level: PR1
Working medium: Gas, oil, Water
End connection: Flange
2. Maintenance Point
2.1. If sand corrosion is heavy, needle life should be cared. Normally, needle stem should be replaced in half a year to make sure orifice precise.
2.2. Close upstream gate valve first, and then close downstream gate valve, if need to stop flowline.
2.3. Adjustable choke should be offline maintenance.
2.4. After choke stem replace, there should be body test.
3. Pressure test point
3.1. Body test pressure is 15000psi. Holding time is 5 mins. And should be test twice.

2. Maintenance Point
2.1. Close upstream gate valve first, and then close downstream gate valve.
2.2. If choke bean need to be replaced, pressure inside should be released at first.
2.3. Take out choke bean by suitable wrench and then check the corrosion of choke bean. If need to use bigger or smaller size, just assembly and new one.

3. Pressure Test Point
3.1. If there is leakage of cap seal, there should be a test after spare parts replaced.
3.2. Body test pressure is 15000psi. Holding time is 5 mins. And should be test twice.
