Choke Bean

Choke bean is a small piece that easy to make. And there is two kinds of choke bean material chosen. One is tungsten carbide, the other is ceramics. Ceramics cost is lower than tungsten carbide. But ceramics is easy to break if there is big vibration when work or transportation.

What we discuss today is not about the material, it is about choke bean type and spanner connection, which is important for end user purchase the right goods. As choke bean is a kind of consumption product. So choke bean need is huge in the market. We have already supplied thousands of choke beans to end user. Everybody knows that choke bean is set in fixed choke (positive choke). So the question is that how we can make sure what we supply match end user’s choke.

Cameron H2 choke is popular in the world. So if end user’s choke is Cameron H2 type. It will be much easier. We only need to confirm orifice size, length, hex size and bean material. If hex size is wrong, the choke bean can’t be set probably. For 2” choke bean, hex size is normally 1-11/16” and 2-3/4”. And for 3” choke bean, hex size is 2-3/4” and 3”. Length of choke bean is normally 6”. And orifice size is 4/64″ to 64/64″ in 4/64 increments, and 70/64″ to 126/64″ in 8/64 increments. Attached photo can give reader some intuitive cognition.

If end user’s choke is H2 type, maybe we need a sample to copy. If no drawing or no sample, we only have to waive the quotation or let client turn to original manufacturer.
